butter me up

Monday. 03. 28. 2011.

I don’t know who actually bakes with CUPS of butter ’cause the last time I checked, butter came in sticks. I suppose there were times when I scooped margarine but that was in my childhood and I have since stepped far away from margarine.

Anyways.

Recipes that call for “a stick” of butter doesn’t really work too well either ’cause those packets of butter with the wee sticks, often cost way more than the brick (I bought 1kg brick of unsalted butter yesterday). Not to mention, define “a stick” of butter. Butter usually comes in 500g here.

Anyways.

Brown Eyed Baker has a PRINTABLE chart for butter measurements.

I usually looked up the measurement online but kept thinking, “I need to make myself a chart” but also never got around to doing it. So thank you, from one brown eyed baker to another.
