rhubarb rhubarb how i love thee

We invited some friends over for a bbq on Saturday. I baked a strawberry rhubarb crumble that was DAMN good.

The recipe was taken from SVD.

It was my first rhubarb related recipe. I’ve always been curious about this pretty plant that can be poisonous if you eat the leaves or if it’s not ripe.

Despite the rhubarb triangle, I don’t think rhubarb is available here fresh in the fall/winter months.

I’m gonna try to store some so I can make crumbles in non-rhubarb season.
