cheese please

Swedes love their cheese. Average consumption is 17.9kg per capita. That’s a lot of cheese consumed.

One common question I get when food is involved is “Why don’t you like cheese?” My usual reply involves asking them if they’re fond of tofu. Most of the time the answer is no. Cheese is just something I grew up not eating very much of. I never acquired the taste for it, much like most people never acquired the taste for tofu.

There are however a few kinds of cheese I have learned to like. The garlic cambozola being one of them. Another is a smoked cheese I tried over at Mårten’s when Fredrik and I were over for dinner.
