is it really so strange

Yesterday Fredrik and I were at the pet store buying cat food. They had a sale on the cat food that Ull and Milo normally eats so we came home with 80+ packages (the boys eat those poached wet food). The cashier was a bit surprised and even told a co-worker to check out how much cat food we were buying when the co-worker was passing by.

As far as we know, our cats are not going to stop eating any time soon and the cat food is good till at least 2011. Why pass up on a good sale?

Nothing planned for today. Gonna hang out with the cats. Do some homework. Read a little. Probably also vacuum.

I think I had something to write about when I first started this entry but then Ull got stuck in the space between the dishwasher and the cupboard. Him and Milo threw a mouse into the space and Ull went to fetch it.

God… my cats lead a more entertaining life than I do.

Milo actually stayed still long enough for me to take a picture of him.

I was talking to my mom last night and she told me that she’s been interacting with a couple of cats at one of the houses she’s working at. It seems that she’s started to take a liking to them. She refers to them as “big cat” and “little cat”. She said that they follow her around the house while she’s working. They did however rip open one of the garbage bags she had out.

I’m taking it as a sign that she may be opening up to this idea of getting a cat.

I’ve got a couple of skeins of yarn that the cat (s) (I’m assuming Ull), keep moving around the house.

Most recently, I woke up to find both skeins in bed, one right beside my head.

I think they want me to knit.

I’m thinking that it might be a good idea to start knitting again too. It was very relaxing (to a certain point). I could use some relaxing.

so much awesome

We’ve all heard the usual airport food complaint. It’s crap and it costs an arm and a leg. Here at the HK airport they have REAL food at regular costs. What a novel idea!!
I’m gonna keep this short ’cause I really hate blogging via the iPhone. Prefer using a real keyboard. But we’re heading to Langkawi in Malaysia. Making a stop in Singapore on the way back. Fredrik says that Singapore airlines is supposed to be the best. We’ll have to see.
I miss the kitties. We’ve been going into every pet store in the city. Got them a toy helicopter to play with from temple street. That should cheer them up.

what does your cat do?

Fredrik just pointed out something interesting about Milo. He hangs out. He just sits in random spots in the living room looking around.

I never thought about this before until Fredrik pointed this out. I just thought it was funny how Milo would sit and look around.

Ull usually demands some sort of playing. If he’s not playing, he’s sleeping.

Milo plays by himself also. Ull prefers to have someone to play with. He can be a bit of a nuisance at times when I’m trying to get some work done and he’s sitting there complaining about me not playing with him. I love him nonetheless.

Speaking of the cats. Today is Ull’s 2nd birthday. My baby is growing up so quickly.

itching for ink

I’ve decided that I’m going to get a tattoo of Ull and Milo and it’ll be on my upper left arm.

Chris and Irene did this absolutely gorgeous painting of a photo of Ull and Milo and they made the two look almost heart shaped. With Milo’s tail hanging down like a balloon string.

That’ll be the main focus of the tattoo. Then there’ll be a banner with their names and chickadees.

I’ve done a mockup of it. I’m going to bring in some additional photos of Ull and Milo so the artist can do a bit more work of his own like make Ull a bit more fluffy because he looks rather skinny in the photo.

I’m really excited about it. Unfortunately the artist I’ve chosen is on holidays until September. I’m thinking that I’d get it done after we get back from Hong Kong. Sun is not a friend of a fresh tattoo.

I was looking through Fredrik’s computer and I came across this video I shot of Milo chasing his own tail. Thought it was hilarious then. Still love it now. He still chases his own tail. Sometimes I’ll find him with his tail in his paws and with the most confused look on his face. Milo’s funny in so many ways.
