I understand that the bathrooms have tile floors and some of the walls also have tiles, but it’s like the 3rd day! They start drilling at 7:30! Fredrik suggested that I sleep with some earplugs but I have no idea where we might’ve put them. I managed to get a wee bit more sleep after 8 but it didn’t last too long. I think the drilling also might’ve caused me to grind my teeth while I’m sleeping. I have a headache that feels just like the ones I get when I grind my teeth in my sleep.

I’ve been sewing like a mad woman lately. I just love how these little felt creatures turned out.

Fredrik will be home tomorrow. I told him I would bake him a carrot cake. I had posted a thread on the Lost in Sweden forum about carrot cake recipes. But the forum server seems to be down. I haven’t been able to access it for the past few days. I suppose I will just use the recipe in JoyofBaking.com.

I have to get nutmeg and cloves. The problem with both those ingredients is that after making this carrot cake and other future carrot cakes, I have no use for them. At least I haven’t a recipe now that uses either of those ingredients and they both come in rather (in my terms) large packages. It would be nice if I could just buy 1 nutmeg.
Well… I just looked at the carrot cake recipe on the Joy of Baking and apparently I need neither nutmeg nor cloves. Even better.

I wonder what kind of recipes Martha has.
